Actor / Set Coordinator, December 8th 2005
Week's job : ACTOR/SET COORDINATOR
Date : December 8th 2005
Cast :
James - Director
John, Ricardo - Camera Operator
James, Lone Wolf - Actors
Justin, Neill, Luke - Boom Operators
I came in early to the school, about an hour before class actually. The idea was to take the camera test...well that never happened again. Anyways. The board was set this week, the pieces were moving, we had the idea to shoot two sword fighting scenes, and three dialogue scenes in between.
To create the set we used a shit load of walls, an empty grid that we used to attach some color gels to. We also used a funky looking tree, that gave a nice effect of a tree outside the window. The idea was to emulate an old church. Oh ya, we also found a door, we couldn't open it, but we could push it aside and go through, it gave the feel of this ancient door that doesn't even hold on the doorway anymore.
The set was pretty cool, we started rehearsing late, stuff kept happening. Cameras needed to be set, sound operators were disappearing all the time, that's why we had three of them!!
We got the first dialogue done, moved on to sword fighting scenes, we still have lots to shoot next week and I can't wait. Sometimes we screwed up on our lines, both of us, and we made the class laugh sometimes, so I guess all good.
Sadly, I don't know why, maybe we were in the Twilight Zone but the video I took of the set DID NOT SAVE on my phone :( I dunno what happened honest, so instead this week's download has a video of our lighting set as were preparing it, and yes there's James in all his glory :D
The picture below? Oh am I on tape? Hehe, just John and James trying to figure out the camera.
Thanks,
Lone Wolf
